Our mission is to empower normative individuals and organizations through focused, empathetic, and action-oriented education on systemic oppression. We provide spaces for rigorous self-reflection, critical analysis of historical and ongoing inequities, and the development of concrete strategies for fostering genuine inclusion. We are committed to equipping everyone with the tools, knowledge, and courage to dismantle oppressive systems from within, recognizing that it is our collective responsibility to clean up our own mess and build a future where racial justice is not an aspiration, but a lived reality for all.
Our Founding Team
Eric McGuire, Founder
Eric McGuire is the founder and Principal Consultant of The 3D Collective. After a distinguished 30-year career as a public school educator in Beaverton and a recent, impactful campaign for the Beaverton School Board, Eric transitioned his focus toward empowering organizations to confront systemic racism directly. His work is born from a deep-seated belief that creating truly equitable environments requires moving beyond awareness and into intentional, structured action.
Drawing on his extensive classroom experience and his graduate studies in Gender, Race, and Nations at Portland State University, Eric developed the firm's guiding framework: Decenter, Dismantle, and Decolonize. Through The 3D Collective, he designs and facilitates workshops, develops long-term action strategies, and provides expert consultation for schools, nonprofits, and other organizations seeking to move from normative states to becoming actively anti-racist. Eric’s unique strength lies in his ability to translate complex, critical theory into accessible, practical steps, helping partners build the capacity for sustainable and meaningful change.
Rabbi Fora, Political Director
Rabbi Fora joins The 3D Collective as its founding Political Director, driven by a relentless pursuit of justice and a deep-seated drive to be useful. Their diverse background combines high-level strategy as Statewide Field Director for FuturePAC with grassroots community care as an educator, nanny, and founder of their college’s first Gay-Straight Alliance.
This unique combination of political acumen and community building informs their approach to dismantling oppressive systems. Their journey as an openly queer and trans person, tempered by work as a legal observer and Human Rights Commissioner, provides a profound understanding of how power impacts individuals. As Political Director, Fora translates the principles of Decenter, Dismantle, and Decolonize into tangible strategies, moving organizations from awareness to effective action.
